For many years Bo’s Place has offered grief support groups in Spanish to better meet the needs of Houston’s growing Spanish-speaking population and also adjusted the English language programs to better meet the needs of the diverse population we serve. About the speakers

Donna Olson-Salas, LCSW

Bilingual Groups Coordinator, Bo’s Place

Donna coordinates bilingual family and adult support groups, coordinates school-based support groups, and manages the pregnancy loss support groups at Bo’s Place. Donna joined Bo’s Place in August of 2016. She earned a Master of Social Work Degree from The University of Houston Graduate College of Social Work, is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker as well as a Licensed Professional Healer of the Arts. Donna has over 40 years of experience in the social work and mental health fields.

Dianne Baek, LMSW

Bilingual Family Groups Manager, Bo's Place

Dianne Baek manages the online 8-week family groups and the ongoing in-person family groups. She coordinates the Saturday Spanish ongoing group, the Tuesday online children’s group, and facilities school groups. Dianne earned a Bachelor of Business Administration with majors in Business, Finance, and French from Houston Baptist University and dual Master degrees in Divinity and in Social Work, from Baylor University. She is a Licensed Master Social Worker. Dianne joined the Bo’s Place staff in 2023, having formerly served as an intern and a volunteer facilitator. She has over 5 years of experience in the mental health field in settings including non-profits and schools.
